About Me
I have been working with dogs for over 36 years, starting at boarding kennels as a teenager and becoming a successful dog groomer, owning a very busy grooming salon near Portsmouth. I later retired from grooming but went on to gain a City & Guilds Further and Adult Education Teaching Certificate and a City & Guilds Training and Development Assessors Award to share my knowledge. For many years, my need to understand and gain a better relationship with dogs has always been a passion. I owned two wonderful Wheaten Terriers, and together we discovered obedience training, agility, pets as therapy, essential oil therapy for animals, as well as completing a qualification in canine anatomy and physiology.
Three years ago, I met my then-puppy Henry, and we both discovered games-based training. I found a force-free, fun way to transform Henry's struggles, and the results were amazing!
My journey to help other dogs and their owners began.
I continue to study dog behaviour and training to further my knowledge.
Henry
Henry is a handsome Red Fox Labrador that from a small puppy struggled with dog to dog interaction, my need to help and understand his struggles has led us to the love of games! Henry is now working towards being an amazing demo dog.
